“Changes on the Horizon”- a letter from our CEO Mark Young
There’s just 28 days until the election, which many sources believe will be close, and we know there will be major implications for employment law, employee handbooks/policies and procedures no matter what the results.
As we have maintained, whether it was a mid-term election or a general election, a lot of changes are likely to be the result, many requiring changes to your federal documents and policies, and of course balancing state policy changes.
The Legal Team at myHRcounsel will provide you with what is mandated to change in your Handbooks and other policies that have been made law (from the NLRB, EEOC, state law changes, etc.). We will continue to track all these legal changes and will continue to send you changes to the laws that affect you & provide you clear employer advice on a weekly basis through our newsletters, webinars, and various blogs.
We will continue to stay on top of the changes that happen in the next 28 days as well as those after Nov. 5th and into 2025, providing you the legal documents to best protect your business.
In 2024, the NLRB and other federal agencies have made dozens of new laws and rulings, some which will require new policies, many have already been inserted in your Handbooks and policies sent to protect your business. We will schedule webinars come the end of 2024, and in the first quarter of 2025 as we get more specifics of actual concluded lawsuits and agency rulings.
Please keep an eye on our newsletters and try to attend our webinars. If you can’t attend, they are recorded and posted on the “ASK” Portal.
All the best – and thanks again for a great 3 quarters so far in 2024 – we appreciate your partnership!
