Minnesota Employers—Are You Ready for Minnesota’s New Paid Family and Medical Leave Law?

Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave (also called “Minnesota Paid Leave”) is a new state-run insurance program.  It provides paid leave benefits, and job protection, for employees to take time off to care for themselves or family members.

Benefits are funded through premiums that are paid by both employers and employees.  Employers must set up an account with the state for administration of the program.  Employers must also provide notice to employees of the program no later than December 1, 2025.

Minnesota Paid Leave deadlines for employers are approaching.  We hosted a webinar in October which provides many of the details you need to know. For additional support, we encourage our clients to open up a ticket directly in our Ask an Attorney portal.
